Each family’s dynamic is different, but it is generally easy for problems to arise within families. It can be very helpful to have an unbiased practitioner assist you in settling conflicts and overcoming any hardships  you may experience.

What is Family Therapy?

The aim of Family Therapy is to address any factors affecting the well-being of a family. Family Therapy is used to treat an individual’s problem affecting the people close to them, as well as problems that an entire family is experiencing. If you feel that Family Therapy could be beneficial to you, there are several types of therapy used, such as talk therapy and behavioural models for parents, depending on what is most  suitable for your family.

In addition to Family Therapy, the Blue Tree Clinic offers Couples Therapy.

What are the benefits of Family Therapy?

It is important for a family to be healthy and functioning well because strained family dynamics can worsen an individual’s illness. Family Therapy allows people to understand what a family member is going through and how best to help them. It can alleviate tensions, improve communication, and prevent further issues. No problem is too small and therefore, it never hurts to have a third party offer a new perspective  and different strategies.
