What is an Eating disorder?

 

An individual with an Eating disorder tends to be a perfectionist who obsesses over the way they look. The individual will be unhappy with how they look and compare themselves to others who they see as having an ideal body. The individual will then try to alter their behaviour by trying to control their eating habits. This can be done via excessive eating and purging. Eating disorders affect individuals of any age, with recent research showing that the age of the onset of Eating disorders becoming as young as 4 year olds.
