Tara graduated with her Psychology BSc in 2021, since graduation, she has worked in the mental health sector as a senior support and outreach worker for the charity Mind in Herts where she facilitated online support group sessions and worked as a support worker for the Physical Health Check Project, which aimed to improve access to physical health checks for people living with severe mental illness; particularly individuals who require additional support and encouragement to access services by delivering physical health checks in community settings.

In 2020 Tara worked as a researcher for the charity “Its a Penalty.” From 2021 to 2022, she volunteered for Shout UK as a Crisis Volunteer. Tara worked with people in immediate distress to take them to a calmer moment and empower them with support and techniques to take their next steps to feeling better.

After Graduating she furthered her studies with The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, and took a Foundation in Existential Psychotherapy, Counselling and Coaching. Tara then applied for her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology course.

In her spare time she enjoys anything creative!

Oil painting, illustration, and poetry she also has a particular interest in complementary therapies, which we hope Tara will incorporate into her practice in the future. Currently Tara is taking a course on Aromatherapy, lastly but definitely not least, her spare time also consists of looking after her rescue dog Mim who she enjoys taking on walks in the countryside.

Tara will be helping our admin team and working alongside our clinical team before starting to see clients in the coming years.
