Jessica is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist (Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), who specialises in treating a wide range of mental health issues with a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma (including complex PTSD, attachment-, and childhood trauma), anxiety-related disorders, sexual identity issues, and complex family relationships.
Jessica strives to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space for her clients on their therapeutic journey. She understands the uniqueness of every single individual and tailors her approaches to meet each person’s needs. She draws from a range of approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Existential- , and Systemic Approaches. She offers in-person and online appointments.
Jessica is fluent in three languages and has completed Levels 1+2 in British Sign Language. She has a passion for travelling and has extensive experience in working with people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, which may play an important role in the therapeutic process. Over the years, she also worked through interpreters, which can be accommodated in the Blue Tree Clinic upon request.
Jessica is registered with the British Psychological Society, The Health and Care Professionals Council, and the EMDR Association UK. She worked in NHS specialist services for many years and completed four academic degrees in the USA and the UK, including her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London.
