What is Body Image?

Body image is how someone feels about their own body; this can be to do with aesthetics, attractiveness and how the individual perceives themselves in comparison to others who are seen as having the idea body image. Body image is an ever growing issue in modern day society due to the excessive use of media and comparison to “celebrities”. Having negative views towards your own body image can lead to further problems such as anxiety and depression as well as eating disorders.
